Continental Surf Cup
Citywave Continental Surf Cup is a prestigious international surf competition on standing waves, where top surf teams from Europe and the United States compete against each other. Once a year, the Citywave transforms into an arena for spectacular competition, technical precision, and pure surfing passion. The event is usually held on the impressive 16-meter-wide Citywave at LakeSideSurf in Chelan, USA, offering ideal conditions for spectacular rides and exciting team duels. Traditionally, the competition takes place during Labor Day Weekend and has developed into a regular highlight in the international river-surfing calendar in recent years. Surfers from both continents compete in various formats and showcase their skills on the artificial wave, from powerful turns to creative tricks. One of the most exciting aspects: the competition is held in a team format meaning that alongside individual performance, strategy, cohesion, and team spirit ultimately determine victory or defeat.
Format
It is a team event in which points are collected toward the overall ranking of each team. The teams typically consist of 16 professionals (10 men and 6 women).

The competition includes various categories such as “Team Heats,” “Surfing Classics,” and the crowd-favorite “Best Trick” session.
